In the late 90s, I got pulled over while driving home from purchasing medical weed from a dispensary. I had driven a bit far, as I'd heard good things about a dispensary in Berkeley, CA.
Long story short I received a ticket, and my pot back, for 'driving while in possession of marijuana'. Huh?
I had to goto court, to physically appear in front of the judge. I pleaded my case, "Your honor, I'm from Texas.. and when I got here I went to my doctor who prescribed medical marijuana for [insert ailment here]. Now, I'm not from here but I thought that was awesome! So, I drove to a dispensary and bough pot legally as soon as I could! Your honor, I was surprised that its even legal here.. but should I ride a skateboard to buy the pot? Do I need to walk? I just don't understand how..." and so on and so forth.
As I was explaing my situation, the courtroom laughed.. I could hear the sighs and the murmuring in the courtroom. They thought I was NUTS.
"Charge dismissed, I'm sorry that this happened to you and our laws will have to catch up to the medical marijuana situation." :P As she stated this, the entire courtroom gasped and was so surprised... guess I wasn't the dumb stoner getting busted that they all thought.
It was super funny, but maybe not in a message network post! LOL. Puff puff.
