You just ask the sysop of "another board" to give you access to the DOVE-Net Sysops sub. On Vertrauen, when creating a new user account, if you answer yes to the "Are you a Synchronet sysop?" question, then you'll get the necessary access flag automatically. I just added this flag your account on Vertrauen (you didn't have it).

Now, please move along and mind your own damn business.

Right, however I was testing it there and then to try and assist someone in irc and wanted the results right away. When I created my account on vert, I wasn't a sysop or still deciding which bbs package to use which is why I would have picked No, I guess.

and for some reason i've noticed there are several boards that have that restriction cleared, not just for dovenet but for fidonet and other ftns.

maybe it's because they use the clone function.
